FAQ
Where is Amish Furniture made?
Our Amish furniture comes straight from the woodworking shops of Ohio and Indiana, where it is made with careful attention to detail by master craftsmanship with a unique touch that reflects time-honored traditions of integrity, simplicity and hard work.
If purchased off the showroom floor, how long does it take to receive?
White glove delivery by our professional delivery team is usually within a week, many times next day. Delivery by a third-party shipping company may take up to 2 to 3 weeks. Our team usually delivers within a 5-hour drive time radius of Asheville NC.
Customers are also welcome to pick up their item's same day as purchase. We will wrap it in foam and help you load it. Customer is responsible for providing moving blankets and tie down straps. Cardboard is highly recommended if going into the back of a pickup truck.
How long does it take to have custom furniture built and delivered?
If the furniture is purchased from our inventory it will be delivered within 1-2 weeks. For custom orders it is typically four to ten weeks from the order date. Occasionally, some quick ship items arrive in three weeks or take as long as twelve weeks to be delivered. Most of our furniture is handcrafted in small shops and several factors are at play in determining the specific lead time. There is also some seasonality to lead times. The majority of our furniture is ready to be delivered or picked up between 4 to 8 weeks from the order date.
Will you deliver the furniture into a specific room in our home?
White Glove delivery includes delivery into your home and assembly of all items. Our professional delivery team will place the furniture in the room(s) you designate and handle any assembly (i.e., assemble beds, place hutch tops on hutch bases, shelf placement, etc.).
Is the furniture insured during shipping?
Yes, all of your pieces are 100% insured through the carrier. In rare instances damage may occur in transit. Please inspect all furniture at time of delivery, if any items are damaged, please note it on the delivery receipt paperwork before the carrier leaves and call us directly at 828-684-7400 so we may take care of the issue.
Does furniture require assembly?
Most items are pre-assembled and ready to use. For customer pick up items a 1/2-inch wrench or socket is required to assemble Amish dining table pedestals, feet, and/or legs. Items such as Amish hutch with a base and mirrors for Amish dressers may need to be attached with a Phillips or square bit screwdriver.
What is your warranty?
All of our furniture, with the exception of clearance items, come with a warranty. Upholstered pieces have factory warranties. Amish hardwood furniture has limited lifetime warranty with one-year in home service. After one year the purchaser is responsible for shipping to or from our facilities, however the repair is still free as long as it is a manufacturer's defect.
How much is required as a down payment on a new order?
50% down payment is required at time of order and remainder is due upon delivery. We require this because each piece of furniture we craft is built individually for the customer. Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes! We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and debit cards. Cash and Personal Checks are also accepted. We also offer free financing through several third-party lenders.
Do you offer financing?
Yes, we offer financing through several third-party lenders including Synchrony. Normal offer is 12, 24 or 36 months with zero percent interest rate and payments start after the furniture is delivered.
What is “poly" wood furniture?
Poly wood is carefree composite material with minimal maintenance. Our poly furniture is available in many different styles and colors and is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastics (recycled milk jigs and water bottles). It has a UV protector to keep it from fading. It’s termite resistant and requires no painting, staining, scraping or replacing. Another great thing about poly wood is that it will not crack, split, warp, rot or splinter.
Are all your items displayed?
No, we have many more items than shown on the website or on display in the store! We literally have over a hundred catalogs with thousands of items not shown. If you would like a style, size or something not shown, please let us know and we can most likely have it custom built for you. If it can be made of wood the Amish can most likely build it.
Can you send me a printed catalog?
Printed catalogs are not available because of the continuing variety of our inventory and the large number of Amish builders. However, we may have additional pictures and literature that we can email if you know specifically what products you are interested in.
